January 2, 2006--Katrina Mission Trip Preparations

We started making plans to go to the Louisiana/Mississippi area to help with the Katrina clean up. We are working through the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), and have now been assigned to Gautier, Mississippi. Our group is small--eight of us--but we hope that there will be other groups from our chuch that will follow.

We will be flying to New Orleans on January 21 and will return to Seattle on January 29.

I will add more later about the preparations so far, links that we have been sent from PDA, and thoughts and plans for our group.
